HOMAN, SANZENBACHER, EVEGE NAMED PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

COLUMBUS — Ohio State linebacker, Ross Homan, was awarded the "Defensive Player of the Week" by the Buckeyes coaching staff for his outstanding play in Saturday's 45-0 victory over New Mexico State.

The junior backer finished the game with seven tackles and an interception, leading the Buckeyes defense to its third shutout of the season.

Wide receiver, Dane Sanzenbacher, was named the "Offensive Player of the Week" by the coaches after hauling in four receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

Sophomore special teams specialist, Donnie Evege, received the "Special Units Player of the Week," as the speedster recorded three key tackles in the Buckeyes win.

Tight end Jake Ballard was named the "Jim Parker Lineman of the Week," while safety Anderson Russell was given the "Attack Force" award.
