COLUMBUS — Tailbacks Dan "Boom" Herron and Brandon Saine were named the "Offensive Players of the Week" by the Ohio State football coaching staff, for their solid performances in Saturday's 27-24 victory over Iowa.

Herron and Saine combined for 200 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the Hawkeyes, helping OSU clinch at least a share of their fifth straight Big Ten title and a berth in the Rose Bowl game.

Linebacker Ross Homan was selected as the "Defensive Player of the Week." Homan led the Buckeyes with eight tackles, and also recorded an interception in the win over Iowa.

OSU kicker, Devin Barclay, received the "Special Units Player of the Week" for his game-winning 39-yard field goal in overtime, while senior offensive tackle, Jim Cordle, was named "Lineman of the Week," for his outstanding play up front in the victory.
