SIX BUCKEYES NAMED TO ALL-BIG TEN FIRST TEAM, THREE ON SECOND TEAM

CHICAGO — Six Ohio State Buckeyes were selected to the All-Big Ten Conference first team, by the media on Monday evening.

Senior wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, senior guard Justin Boren and junior center Mike Brewster were named to the offensive first team, while senior defensive end Cameron Heyward, senior linebacker Brian Rolle and senior cornerback Chimdi Chekwa were selected to the first team defense.

Ohio State senior kicker Devin Barclay, senior linebacker Ross Homan and senior safety Jermale Hines all received second-team honors.

Buckeyes who were given honorable mention were tailback Dan "Boom" Herron, quarterback Terrelle Pryor, wide receiver DeVier Posey and defensive tackle John Simon.

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was named Big Ten offensive player of the year, while Purdue defensive end Ryan Kerrigan was named the top player on defense.

Wisconsin tailback James White was named Freshman of the Year, and Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio took home best coach honors.
