BUCKEYES MISS OUT ON BALTIMORE STAR ATHLETE DARIUS JENNINGS

Darius Jennings
BALTIMORE — Ohio State hasn't began National Signing Day the way they were hoping, as Baltimore (Md.) Gilman star athlete Darius Jennings announced early on Wednesday morning that he will be playing at the University of Virginia next fall.

The Under Armour All-American selected the Cavaliers over the Buckeyes and Wake Forest, among others.

Although Jennings played quarterback at Gilman, the Buckeyes were looking at making the Maryland star a cornerback. His size (5-11, 175) and skill set is similar to former Buckeyes and current Carolina Panthers cornerback Chris Gamble. Virginia will use Jennings at wide receiver.

The Buckeyes also lost out on wide receiver prospect JaJuan Story, who announced Wednesday morning that he would be attending the University of Florida, the school he had originally committed to beofre the resignation of Urban Meyer.

We'll have more signing day coverage, including words from the OSU coaching staff, throughout the day.
