BUCKEYES RANKED 16TH IN USA TODAY PRESEASON COACHES POLL

Ohio State begins the 2011 college football season as the No. 16 team in the country, according to the USA Today preseason coaches poll released Thursday morning.

Four of the Buckeyes' opponents debuted in the Top 25 (ranking): Wisconsin (10), Nebraska (11) Michigan State (17) and Penn State (25). Ohio State will play all of those teams — except for Nebraska — at home.

Oklahoma was rated as the top team in the country. Alabama was voted second, followed by Oregon, Alabama and Florida State.
