JAKE STONEBURNER ON MACKEY AWARD MIDSEASON WATCH LIST

COLUMBUS — Ohio State junior Jake Stoneburner was named Monday to the midseason watch list for the John Mackey Award, given annually by the Nassau (N.Y.) County Sports Commission to the nation's best collegiate tight end.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound native of Dublin (Oh.) has recorded a team-high 12 receptions this season, for 150 yards and six touchdowns in seven games as the Buckeyes' starting tight end.

Stoneburner is one of 25 college football tight ends under consideration for the award.

The winner will be announced at the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Red Carpet Show, on December 8. It will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
