COLUMBUS — Ohio State kicks off their college football season this Saturday against the University of Buffalo (12 p.m., ESPN2), and expectations across the Buckeye State are so high that anything less than a 50-point win against the Bulls may leave fans feeling a little disappointed.

Of course, there are plenty of reasons for the astronomic optimism. First, the Buckeyes are now eligible to play in the post-season, something they were prohibited from doing last season because of past NCAA violations.

COLUMBUS — Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer is usually known for being a little on the gruff side when speaking about players on his teams.

He will praise a player, talk him up a little, but then in the next breath he will almost always give you a "but" to keep said athlete grounded.

DONTRE WILSON, BRAXTON MILLER, AUSSIE PUNTER GETTING ATTENTION

COLUMBUS — It is no secret that Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been searching diligently for play-makers since arriving in Columbus a year ago.

Sure, he possesses the most electrifying player in all of college football in quarterback Braxton Miller, but as Meyer has stated numerous times, a school like Ohio State should have more than one "wow factor" player in its arsenal.
